OUR STORY
The Heritage
The Heirloom Room name is a nod to the previous heritage name of The Tea Room, which was originally opened to serve locals and travelers when the city of Gatlinburg was first chartered. As the demands of tourism increased and travelers flooded to Gatlinburg, The Tea Room was transformed into hotel guest rooms to provide more space for travelers to rest their heads in the early 1900s.
In respect to its original identity as a restaurant, we reopen as The Heirloom Room to pay homage to this family-owned property that has been passed down for generations. To carry on it's legacy, we proudly introduce the salt and grit of Appalachian Fare and Mountain Mixology.
